Dependent Eligibility Verification Audit

This past spring, Human Resources conducted an audit of all Faculty, Administrative Professionals, and other Non-Classified staff with one or more dependents covered on the University’s medical plan. HR is pleased to announce that there was 100% participation in the dependent eligibility audit.

The outreach efforts made by Human Resources ensured that no employee was left behind and that dependents were not dropped from CSU benefit plans without prior confirmation and communication. Results from the audit indicate that .5% of the dependents covered on CSU medical plans were ineligible. Removal of these ineligible dependents will produce a 5-year savings of $542,640.
