Leave Balances in Employee Self-Service

The last menu item in Employee Self-Service is "Leave Balances Report," where you can create and download a PDF document displaying your current Annual and Sick Leave accruals as well as leave taken.

After clicking this link, you will see a page listing two Parameters (Month End and Primary Assignment). Leave these parameters as they are and click "Continue":

The next page is a confirmation of the Parameters. Click "Submit":

A pop-up window will tell you that the report is scheduled to be created. Click "OK":

The following page shows you the status of the report request (and any previous reports you have run). If the Phase of the most recent report is "Running," click the "Refresh" button:

The report typically runs quickly, but you may have to click "Refresh" once or twice before the Phase is "Completed":

Once the Phase is "Completed," click the icon in the Output column to view the PDF:

Timing of Leave Accruals and Leave Taken

Leave accruals occur on the sixth of each month. For example, the leave accrued for hours worked in March will appear on April 6th.

Leave taken amounts will appear on the report between the 15th and 20th of the month following the leave taken. For example, leave taken in March will appear between April 15th and 20th. To see leave taken that hasn't been appeared on the Leave Balances report, log into TimeClock Plus and check the Requests section. Click here for more information about TimeClock Plus.

Reconciling TimeClock Plus Accruals with Oracle Leave Balances

The balances shown in TimeClock Plus can appear incorrect when compared with the Leave Balances Report. The Reconciling TimeClock Plus Accruals with Oracle Leave Balances PDF document explains how to understand and reconcile the different balances.
