HR System Access Levels
When submitting the Data Access and Signature Authority Request for an employee, choose the appropriate level of access needed, as described below.
Read/write is indicated by "CSU [Department Name]. It allows access to a department's assignment and funding information; the leave-entry screen; the timefiles; and in some cases, the performance evaluation screen.
It allows a user to hire employees, initiate assignment changes, prepare payroll, edit funding, etc. A user must have full access if signature authority is requested in Step 4 on the form. Full access includes all access levels described below.
Leave access permits a user to enter leave taken by employees and to print leave-related reports.
ODS indicates that a person has been granted access to some HR data in the Operational Data Store (data warehouse), but this is not a complete list. Please contact Dawn McIntosh or Robin Wright (Information Systems) for details on a certain user's access or for a complete list of users with access to HR data.
Performance access permits a user to enter performance review information for State Classified employees.
Timeclock access permits a user to enter and approve timeclock hours and to print timeclock-related reports.
Cell allowance permits a user to enter and validate cell allowance payments for employees.
Vista access allows a person who does not have department - or query-level access to the HR system to have access to the reports for that department in the Vista+ report archives.
